Today is day 2 of Natalie Sisson’s 10 Day Freedom Plan blog challenge. The topic for today is freedom and why I want to live a freedom lifestyle. For me, 11 years ago we began a freedom journey when we decided to homeschool our children. With this, we have the flexibility to take vacations when we want and to take advantage of opportunities as they come. For example, the first year we homeschooled my husband had to go to Orlando, Florida and stay at one of the Universal Studio Resort hotels. If all our children had been in public school, I would have forced to stay home. Instead, we packed up the family and drove to Orlando. While my husband attended meetings and other work-related functions, the children and I spent a few hours a day doing school and then spent the afternoon by the pool. In the evening, we would take the river taxis to City Walk to eat dinner and explore the sights.
To me this is what freedom means, I have the time, money and desire to go where we want when we want. My ultimate desire is for my blog to eventually contribute to this dream. I want to have the freedom to say yes to things that interest or excite me, while saying no to those that don’t.
So what would you do if you had the freedom to do them? I would love to hear from you.
