“Q” is for Quitters, Quiet and Quilting

So here is another post for #BloggingAtoZ.  Today’s letter is “q”, which is for quitters, quit, and quilting.

“Q” is for quitters, and that is something I do not want to be known for at all.  I want to bee able to say I complete what I start.  However, that is not always the case.  This week I started participating in the newest study with the Proverbs 31 Online Bible Study community.  We are doing the book, “5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit” by Nicki Koziarz.

I have read the first two chapters so far and am loving this book.  It speaks to my heart and soul. It is definitely worth reading.

“Q” is also for quiet, something my house never is with four children.  However, peace and quiet is something my soul longs for at times.  It is something I know I need at times.  Other times, the quiet seems deafening – like when the children become involved in what they are doing that I do not even know what they are doing.  Then, of course, there are times when silence is a wonderful thing – like the various camping trips we have taken

Finally, “Q” is for quilting.  For a number of years, I have longed to actively pursue quilting.  It speaks to my soul through the colors, patterns and the joy of piecing together by hand quilt tops.  I finished a quilt top with strips, but have not finished sewing it together yet.  I enjoyed putting it together. I have started on a quilt top for my daughter.
